A "seat-in-a-box" cannot address the difference of its rider being 5'2", 110 lbs.
or 6'10" 250lbs., or address proper ergonomics (for any type of tour or duration riding).
This type of seat is someone else's concept of what may or may not be right for you.
For a proper custom seat fitting, bring yourself, your passenger, and your
bike into the shop and we will fit the seat to you according to your height,
weight, inseam, etc.
Can't touch the ground when stopped? Not a problem. Slide
forward into the tank? Don't sit far enough back? Seat too
small or too large? We have the answer!
From Tall to Small, You're the People we can help!
We have 2 ways we can do this. You can either send us your seat via UPS, Fed-Ex,
Parcel Post and fill out our customer information form online or call us to schedule a
ride-in appointment.
If you wish to come in for an appointment, we will need you and the bike for 3-4 hours or until
you are satisfied with the comfort and feel of the seat.
Test drives between shaping stages are helpful to you (but not required).
Once the fitting is complete a polymer gel pad is installed (not mandatory)
and the seat is wrapped in a piece of 1/8" foam to make the unit one piece.
Appointments are necessary with a 1-2 week lead-time suggested for the
spring and summer months. Especially heavy times are just before LAUGHLIN & STURGIS,
so plan accordingly.
Appointments start at 8:30 a.m. during summer hours and 9:00 a.m. during winter hours Tuesday thru Saturday. Fitting appointments usually take 3-4 hours, and
the majority of seats are covered and completed by the end of the day. Large seats on touring bikes may take additional time.
Mail in turn-around time for your completed seat is 2-3 days. During spring and summer months please allow 3-5 days.
